I grew up in a tough working-class suburb of Manchester. I’m proud of my city (a trait shared by most Mancunians). It made me thick-skinned, determined and grounded.
My family instilled in me the values of honesty, fairness, and to treat people equally, but also to find the fun in everything I do. This pursuit of looking for the positives is a big part of who I am today, which is why you’ll often find me with a smile on my face enjoying the moment, or cracking jokes at my own expense.

I put myself through University studying law whilst working full-time at a prestigious law firm in Manchester. During my studies, I discovered a career in Law wasn’t for me, but regardless, I saw my degree through to the very end, and my graduation day was one of great pride and relief.
While I didn’t fully appreciate it at the time, my background in law conferred a huge advantage for my career in business. Plus, the overall experience made me aware of my personal resilience and determination to finish things well - an inner confidence that has helped me to have the courage to forge my own path and roll with the punches.

Outside of work, you’ll likely find me cycling through forests, exploring digital worlds through gaming, or travelling around the real world to find new experiences, meet new people and keep a fresh perspective.
